Hongfa Europe appoints Anglia to distribute industrial relays
Distributor Anglia Components has been appointed distributor for Hongfa Europe in the UK and Ireland, covering its range of electro-mechanical relays. Anglia holds inventory on the most popular Hongfa relays at its distribution centre in the UK.
Anglia’s technical director, David Pearson, said of Hongfa: “The company is a world leader and well-established internationally across America, Europe and Asia. Expanding our range of relay products means an increased choice for our customers”.
Greg Ward, senior sales manager for Hongfa Europe, added: “Anglia is a strategic local partner for Hongfa, with great links into the UK customer base,” he said. He also praised Anglia’s design-in team as “outstanding”. “We look forward to expanding our UK business with them,” he said.
Hongfa claims to be the world’s largest relay manufacturer (by number of units produced). The range of relays covers signal, power, industrial, latching and automotive types. It also supplies accessories including relay sockets.
Hongfa relay products are used in home appliances, industrial controls and energy meters to electric vehicles and chargers.
According to Hongfa, it operates one of the largest and most comprehensive testing centres in the Chinese relay industry, which can self-certify to VDE, UL/CSA and CNAS. The company implements over 10 international standards, such as EN61810 and UL508.
Hongfa was founded in 1984 and has nearly 14000 employees globally supporting relay R&D and production. Hongfa products are used in industrial, energy, transportation, telecommunication, home appliance, and medical applications. The company holds over 400 individual patents in relay technology with a further 100 applied for.
Headquartered in Xiamen, China, Hongfa has established local sales organisations in America, Europe and Asia, offering commercial and technical support locally.
