HSYCO and TEKTELIC bring seamless LoRaWAN integration to smart buildings

HSYCO and TEKTELIC have introduced a new integration that connects TEKTELIC LoRaWAN gateways using the Semtech Packet Forwarder directly to the HSYCO supervision platform. This allows data from TEKTELIC’s extensive range of IoT sensors to be acquired natively in HSYCO, enabling seamless visualisation, alarms, analytics, and automation within a single interface.

The combined solution enables seamless interoperability with over 110 protocols supported by HSYCO, including KNX, BACnet, Modbus, and MQTT. Users can now integrate LoRaWAN devices into complex building and industrial automation systems, – combining IoT insights with with HVAC, lighting, energy management, and security controls.

This integration provides a scalable, open, and reliable approach for -developing unified automation solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

Example Use Case 1: Cold Room Supervision with HSYCO, KONA Micro IoT Gateway, and TUNDRA Temperature & Humidity Sensor

HSYCO, combined with the TEKTELIC KONA Micro IoT Gateway and TUNDRA Cold Room Temperature & Humidity Sensors, enables comprehensive supervision of refrigerated storage areas. The system continuously monitors temperature and humidity levels across multiple cold rooms, providing real-time graphical trends accessible through HSYCO’s web interface.

In the case of temperature deviations beyond predefined thresholds (over-temperature or under-temperature), HSYCO triggers immediate alarms, sending notifications through multiple channels such as email, Telegram, and SMS. Additionally, HSYCO generates a detailed monthly PDF report summarizing temperature trends and anomalies, supporting compliance documentation and operational analysis.

Example Use Case 2: Flood Detection and Automated Valve Control with HSYCO, KONA Micro IoT Gateway, and COMFORT v2 Leak Detection Sensor

By integrating HSYCO with the KONA Micro IoT Gateway and COMFORT v2 LoRaWAN Leak Detection Sensors, facility managers can detect water leakage events early and respond automatically. Upon receiving a flood alarms from the COMFORT sensors, HSYCO can execute predefined automation logic to close electrovalves via the BACnet protocol, helping to prevent potential water damage.

This integrated solution enhances protection for critical areas by combining long-range IoT sensing with reliable building automation protocols, improving safety while reducing maintenance and repair costs.
