Integrated, intelligent TFT display module supports Android and Linux OS
Offering a versatile display option, Review Display Systems (RDS) has announced the availability of the DMG10600T101-33WTC integrated, intelligent display module. It uses a Rockchip RK3288 Arm-based SoC with a 32-bit Cortex A-17 core running an Android operating system (OS). A Linux-based OS version is also available.
Justin Coleman, display business manager, RDS said, “The intelligent display module provides a highly versatile, configurable module that offers a wealth of standard integrated features and functionality”.
The DMG10600T101-33WTC intelligent display module features a 10.1-inch IPS TFT LCD with WSVGA resolution (1024 x 600 pixels) and a brightness specification of 310cd/m². It also has 24-bit RGB colour data supporting a colour palette of up to 16.7M colours. There is an integrated PCap (projected capacitive) touchscreen while integrated interface and peripheral connections include two RS232 serial ports, one RS485 serial port for external devices, Ethernet 10/100Mbits per second interface, three USB interfaces, a SIM card slot and a 4G module slot. On board memory includes 8Gbyte of flash memory and 2Gbyte DDR3 RAM with a SD card expansion slot supporting up to 64Gbytes (maximum).
The feature set, coupled with the ability to configure and customise the module with standard off-the-shelf Android apps or user developed APK files enable application or user specific hardware to be simply and easily created, added Coleman.
Additional on-board functionality includes Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11Bb/g/n 2.4Ghz, Bluetooth connectivity, a HDMI interface, a MIPI / USB camera interface, a microphone interface, a 3.5mm headphone socket, and a dual left / right speaker interface.
The intelligent display module currently supports the Android 8.1 OS or Linux OS.
Dimensions are 257.0 x 148.1x 23.2mm. The 10.1-inch display provides an active display area of 222.72 x 125.28mm.
