Kemet’s R41B film capacitors are available at Rutronik
EMI suppression capacitors by Kemet, in the R41B series are now available from Rutronik. The latest additions to the distributor’s film capacitor product portfolio have voltage ratings of 350V AC (rated voltage) and up to 1500V DC (rated DC voltage) and passed 1,000 hours of operation at rated voltage applied in the accelerated THB test at temperatures of 85 degrees C and humidity of 85 per cent. According to Rutronik, they are suitable for use in harsh environments and are also available in a halogen-free version on request.
The film capacitor range with protection class Y2/X1 is believed to be the first on the market to combine THB class IIIB with high operating temperature and high capacitance while offering the smallest lead space of a minimum of 10mm. The capacitors are made of metallised polypropylene film coated with self-extinguishing resin and are UL / ENEC / CQC -certified. They are for use in a capacitance range of 2.2nF to 1.2 microF and deliver a high temperature capability of up to +125 degrees C. They are also AEC-Q200 -compliant and for use in filters to suppress EMI in line-to-ground (Y capacitor) and cross-the-line (X-capacitor) applications.
Target applications are HVDC filters, 5G SMPS (switch mode power supply), the automotive industry, DC/DC and DC/AC converters and solar inverters and energy storage.
