Lane Electronics supplies modular micro-connectors by Nicomatic
Micro connectors by Nicomatic are available from stock from Lane Electronics. The modular design connectors offer the same high levels of proven mechanical, electrical and environmental performance and dependability normally associated with much larger connectors, said Lane.
The compact and lightweight connectors help design engineers address the latest requirements in high performance, high reliability, high mobility electronic equipment, such as UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles), robotics and new technologies, space satellites and radars, airborne and ground applications in civil and defence avionics.
Included in the portfolio available from Lane Electronics is the DMM. This is a rugged 2mm pitch metal cased connectors complying to MIL-DTL-83513G. This connector allows space-saving, electromagnetic and mechanical protection and has signal (LF), power (HP) and coax (HF) contact options and up to 10 million arrangements.
There is also the DLMM, metalised composite connectors also with a pitch of 2mm. The lightweight Micro-D MIL 83513 connectors are suitable for weight and space-constrained applications. Supplied on two rows with from four to 32 pins and shell sizes from 10, 16, 22, 26 and 32 pins, this connector range allows mixed and modular arrangements including signal, power and coax, terminations.
Another 2mm pitch series is CMM, designed to meet or exceed electrical and mechanical performances of MIL-DTL-55302F and BS-9525-F0033 standards. Signal, power and coaxial contacts are available in one to three rows and up to 120 pins. They are resistant to vibrations and shocks and temperature cycled between -60 and + 260 degrees C.
The AMM micro connector series have a 1mm pitch, meet MIL-DTL-83513G and MIL-DTL-55302G and offers five standard contact layouts six, 10, 20, 34, or 50 contacts distributed over two rows. They are simple to customise, said Lane and have features such as an integrated guidance pin for stacking.
Also available are the EMM micro connector series with a 1.27mm pitch and more than 40 per cent space reduction compared to the CMM or 20 per cent compared to the standard Micro-D, said Lane. Designed to meet the performance requirements of MIL 83513, connectors have reversed contacts, integrated 90 degree back protection and interchangeable hardware.
The board to cable OMM micro-circular connectors have captive screw fixing and meet MIL-DTL-55302F.
Lane Electronics also offers Nicomatic’s Microflex 2mm pitch high-reliability flexible harness interconnection which is a flat cable harness with screw fixing for a high vibration environment, tested to meet MIL-DTL-55302F. This jumper mates with CMM 220 2mm pitch connector for high mechanical resistance.
