New connector portfolio from binder for reliability in various applications
The 702, 711, and 712 series from binder cover a wide range of protection classes, connection types, and technical requirements – from IP40 to IP67, shielded or unshielded, field-wireable or moulded. These rugged and flexible connector types are ideal for compact applications in industrial automation, medical technology, and test and measurement equipment.
M9 connectors are perfectly suited for space-constrained applications. At the same time, they offer a high protection rating of up to IP67 and a robust screw locking mechanism. This ensures a mechanically stable and reliable connection – even in harsh environments exposed to vibration, moisture, or dust. As a result, the connectors significantly contribute to operational reliability across various fields of application.
Series 711 includes field-attachable and panel-mounted connectors in an IP40 version for devices used in standard environments. In contrast, Series 702 and 712 are equipped with IP67 protection and shielding, making them particularly suitable for use in harsh industrial environments. Series 702 consists of overmolded versions with variable cable lengths, while Series 711 features field-attachable and panel-mounted connectors. All versions are available with 3 to 8 pins. Depending on the type, the housings are made of either metal or plastic. A mechanically robust screw locking system ensures a secure connection in all series – even in vibrating or mobile applications.
The M9 portfolio offers a wide range of variants. Depending on the application scenario, different designs are available. The choice between metal or plastic housings allows for tailored connector solutions in terms of environmental conditions, weight, or EMC requirements.
M9 connectors are used wherever space is limited but no compromises can be made in terms of quality and safety. In medical technology, they are integrated into mobile analysis and diagnostic devices. In industrial automation, they are used for signal and data transmission in compact control units or sensor systems. Additional application areas include measurement and testing technology as well as the transportation and logistics sectors – for instance in automated guided vehicles where they ensure reliable connections. They are especially well suited for mobile devices that require both a high protection rating – up to IP67 – and reliable signal transmission despite limited installation space.
