NVMe SSD can replace SATA models and accelerates boot times
Storage company specialist, PNY Technologies, has launched the PNY CS2230 M.2 NVMe portable SSD. This latest addition to the company’s SSD portfolio is designed to replace SATA SSDs and provide faster speeds for gamers and business users.
According to PNY Technologies, the CS2230 SSD accelerates boot times and application launches and improves overall system performance for laptops and desktops (PC or MAC) with NVMe Gen3 technology.
The SSD boosts computers and applications while maintaining low power consumption to promote computer battery life and prevent overheating, said PNY Technologies. Designed with no moving parts and with what is claimed to be the world’s most advanced NAND flash technology, the CS2230 is available as 500Gbyte and 1Tbyte models. They can achieve read speeds of up to 3300Mbytes per second and write speeds of up to 2500Mbytes per second for the 500Gbyte version and 2600Mbytes per second for the 1Tbyte version.
It has improved bandwidth, compared to SATA SSD, to enhance performance. The durable SSD can speed up boot time, power down or even load applications up to six times faster than a SATA SSD, said the company.
The low latency CS2230 SSD is suitable for power-hungry applications and gaming. The SSD has been tested and approved for compatibility with multiple platforms and a variety of operating systems.
It has low power consumption for longer laptop life and is resistance to extreme environments and data retention even if dropped. It has a five-year warranty for reliable storage.
It also includes Acronis data protection software.
