Panasonic Industry builds on board-to-FPC connector with CF2 model
Following the introduction of the heat and vibration-proof CF1 board-to-FPC connector, Panasonic Industry has launched a double-row CF2 version for automotive battery management and lighting systems.
There are two parts – a plug and a receptacle – to the assembly which quickly and simply connects a PCB with a flexible printed circuit (FPC). The result is a reliable, vibration resistant high power connection, says Panasonic, making relay wire harnessing sets redundant.
CF2 has 20 pins in two rows, compared to CF1’s four to 10 pins in a single row. Other pin configurations are available on request.
The compact connector has a metal terminal connection structure. It is suitable for automotive applications that require shock and vibration resistance and which can withstand operating conditions up to 125 degrees C. The connector’s double-sided contact and inertial lock structure prevent incomplete mating, to guarantee operational reliability, said Panasonic Industry. The inertia lock construction prevents half-mating, confirmed the company.
