Powell Electronics stocks micro-circular connectors from Omnetics
Available through Powell Electronics are micro-circular connectors from Omnetics featuring a 0.050 inches pitch. The components are QPL approved for MIL-DTL-32139 and MIL-DTL-83513 and have been designed for new-generation electronic systems focusing on rugged performance while being highly portable and light weight.
Offering significant advantages in size reduction (the mated length is less than 12.4 mm) and cable flexibility, the micro-circular connectors utilise Omnetics’ rugged and reliable Flex-Pin contact system. The gold plated Beryllium Copper pins provide a reliable performance for more than 2,000 mating cycles. Both the male and female contacts are shrouded by the plastic insulators, insuring that the contacts are protected during mating and unmating. 5, 7, 12, 16, 27 and 39 position housing sizes are available in pre-wired, soldercup and solid straight tail versions. Shell and housing designs are available in a number of options consisting of inline, front, rear as well as protruding panel mount configurations. Mating options include: Twist Lock (BNC type), threaded and even new breakaway formats. Elaborate wire harnesses, flex termination, overmolding and custom shells are all available upon request.
