Power connector combines high current capacity with environmental protection
The Han M23 Power connector from Harting is a hybrid industrial connector that combines the capability to transmit both power and signals with a high degree of environmental protection.
The connector extends the Han M23 series by allowing the industrial lifelines of signal and power to be fully supplied from a single device. The field of application includes drive technology as well as any areas with increased demands on vibration safety and protection against dust and water. It can also be used for use with other external mechanical influences. Built-in shielding also offers additional protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI).
The housing of the Han M23 Power is robust. It meets IP protection classes 67 and 69K in the closed position, making it particularly suitable for harsh industrial environments. Simple tool-free assembly makes the connector suitable for field assembly by service personnel as well as for serial production, adds Harting.
With power contacts for a voltage range of up to 630V AC and a maximum current carrying capacity of 28A, large amounts of power can be transmitted in a small installation space.
To complement the contact insert, the Han M23 series offers a range of housings, including straight, angled and rotatable sleeve versions as well as bulkhead and coupling types, in order to adapt the connectors to the requirements of different applications.
The contact inserts in the series, including the Han M23 Signal (six- to 19-pole) and the Han M23 Power (six- to nine-pole) are plug-compatible with most other M23 round connector types available on the market.
Fast and secure mating and unmating is ensured by the use of Harting’s Han Com Lock locking system.
The Harting Group develops, manufactures and distributes electrical and electronic connectors, network components, pre-assembled system cables, and backplane assemblies. Products are capable of withstanding the harshest demands in industrial environments and provide high data rates for electronic applications.
Harting connectors and network components are used in mechanical engineering and plant manufacturing, in automation systems, energy generation and distribution, and in electronic and telecommunication markets. Its industrial connectors are also used in construction machinery, rail vehicles and shipbuilding. Harting also offers Ethernet network components and cable systems for both indoor and outdoor networking applications involving power and data.
