Powerstax signs distribution agreement with Magna-Power
Industrial power specialist, Powerstax, has been appointed as a distributor for Magna-Power’s range of programable power supplies. The product range complements the existing Powerstax portfolio of DC power supplies and transformer rectifiers.
Magna-Power provides versatile, high power density DC power products from 1.5kW to in excess of 2000kW. With variable output voltage ratings from 0 to 5.0V DC through to 0 to 10kV DC, Magna-Power claims to satisfy most test and measurement, research and bulk power requirements.
Up to 8kW of output power is available from the 1U SL series and all models are available with analogue and digital serial interfaces, together with the option for IEEE-488 GPIB control.
Phil James, Powerstax sales director, commented: “With our own extensive in-house design and manufacture capabilities for DC power solutions, Powerstax is able to provide full technical and service support for Magna-Power DC power supplies.”
Powerstax designs and manufactures standard, value-added and custom AC and DC power solutions for a broad range of fixed and mobile applications including hot-swap front-end AC/DC bulk power, DC/DC converter bricks and modules and programmable, modular, rack mounted power supplies.
The Drake range of transformer rectifiers offer output currents to 5,000A and output power up to 1,000kVA. Products are available for harsh (marine, offshore, desert) and hazardous (Zone 1 and Zone 2) environments and can be oil, air or water cooled and sealed up to IP65 if required with purge and pressure systems and heat exchangers incorporated, as necessary.
Powerstax has customers in industrial, defence, vehicle and transportation, defence and avionics, impressed current cathodic protection, water treatment, test, measurement and control and medical equipment markets.
