Qorvo front-end module for Wi-Fi 5 is available from Mouser
Designed for IoT systems based on Wi-Fi 6, Qorvo’s QPF4528 front-end module is now available from Mouser Electronics.
The 5GHz front-end module offers a compact form factor and integrated matching to minimise layout area in applications such as wireless routers, set top boxes, and access points.
The QPF4528 integrates a 5GHz power amplifier, regulator, single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) switch, low noise amplifier (LNA) with bypass mode, RF coupler, and voltage power detector into a single device. The front-end modules boosts linear power transmission without increasing power dissipation, claims Mouser, enabling higher-performance Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) enterprise access points in smaller form factor designs.
The front-end module allows up to eight x8 multiple-input, multiple-output (MU-MIMO) in both conventional and Power over Ethernet (PoE) systems, offering fewer access points, enhanced capacity and efficiency, claims Mouser, as well as improved speed, and reduced operating costs across enterprise systems. The device is also optimized to solve thermal challenges in Wi-Fi equipment designed for MU-MIMO environments.
