Review Display Systems takes on Aaeon’s latest fanless Box PC
For high speed industrial computing with low power consumption, the Boxer-6646-ADP is Aaeon’s latest fanless embedded Box PC. The versatile PC is now available from embedded systems and displays provider, Review Display Systems (RDS).
The Boxer-6646-ADP has a compact form factor and is suitable for all purpose computing. It is powered by 12th generation Intel Core processors with dual-channel DDR5 support. It is also equipped with a DIO port, multiple 2.5GbE LANs and four display ports to support heavy processing workloads, said RDS. There is also support for M.2 2280 M Key high speed NVMe SSD and SuperSpeed Plus USB 3.2 Gen2.
The chassis contains a removable 2.5 inch SATA drive bay for additional storage on top of the 64Gbyte system memory offered through the device’s DDR5 support. A service window is available for expansion key access, enabling easy integration of 5G, Wi-Fi, and NVMe modules via the M.2 3052, M.2 2230 and M.2 2280 ports.
The Boxer-6646-ADP features a compact mechanical form factor equipped with multiple 2.5GbE LAN ports, three 10Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2 slots, and a quadruple display interface featuring both HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.4. The high speed connectivity makes the PC suitable for autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).
The power-efficient Box PC has hybrid CPU architecture of up to 12 cores and 16 threads, Intel Iris Xe Graphics and DDR5 support. The 28W CPU is in place alongside Intel Gaussian and Neural Accelerator technology for high-speed industrial computing, said RDS.
The Box-6646-ADP has a wide DC voltage input range 10 to 35V and a wide operating temperature range of -20 to +60 degrees C.
The PC has a compact footprint of 220mm (l) x 154mm (w) x 61.6mm (h) and has onboard TPM 2.0 for security.
