Rutronik and GCT expand partnership enhancing connector and cable assembly solutions

Rutronik and GCT have announced an expansion of the existing global partnership, following the merger of Gradconn and GCT. The franchise expansion with Rutronik now enhances the product offering available for Rutronik customers and prospects.

GCT is an established manufacturer of world-class connector and cable assembly solutions with a long history of providing high-quality connector solutions, supported by comprehensive resources such as 3D models, PCB footprints, product drawings, and specifications. This helps customers easily meet their precise connector design requirements. Product quality and best-in-class service are at the cornerstones of GCT’s philosophy.

“The recent merger of GCT and Gradconn has created opportunities to consolidate our distribution networks, and as such GCT is delighted to announce that its full product offering will now be available through Rutronik, who has been a key partner of Gradconn for many years,” said Richard Clark Global Distribution Manager at GCT. “This expanded global agreement builds on the strong relationship that exists with Rutronik and provides new and existing customers with a wider choice of products and supply chain solutions,” he continued.

The expanded product range includes USB-C, MEM, and SIM sockets, as well as RF connectors and coaxial cable assemblies, which are ideal for wireless markets such as GSM, GPS, and WiFi. With the rise of IoT, smart cities and smart homes, Industry 4.0, and advanced telematics, GCT’s RF products play an increasingly important role across a variety of protocols and demanding applications.

“GCT’s connectors and cable assemblies can be found in a wide range of applications including mobile and wireless communications, computers and peripherals, industrial, medical, lifestyle electronics, automation, instrumentation, and consumer electronics,” said Davis Angler, Corporate Product Manager Connectors at Rutronik. “Expanding our franchise after the merger with GCT is the logical next step of our long-term and strong partnership,” he continued.
