Server-grade ATX motherboard is powered by Gen 3 Intel Xeon for AI and HPC
Built in artificial intelligence (AI), crypto acceleration functions and security capabilities are features of the IMB700 server-grade ATX motherboard, developed by Axiomtek.
It is powered by the latest dual LGA4189 socket 3rd Gen Intel Xeon scalable processors (code named Ice Lake-SP) with the Intel C621A chipset. The IMB700 is suitable for markets which require accelerating performance, high security, high-performance computing for efficient machine and deep learning workloads, said Axiomtek.
The IMB700 has up to 38 powerful cores and a wide range of frequencies, features and power levels. To respond to the need for heavy workload processing and intensive computing data transmission, it has six 288-pin DDR4-3200 RDIMM sockets with a memory capacity of up to 384Gbyte. It also features rich data storage and flexible expandability to satisfy customer-specific needs in deep learning AI, video surveillance, industrial automation and other diverse applications, said Wayne Chung, the product manager of IPC division at Axiomtek.
Expansion options are three PCIe x16 slots, three PCIe x8 slots and an M.2 Key M 2280 interface with PCIe x4 signal for adding graphics processing units (GPUs), capture cards, RAID cards and high-speed NVMe storage. Six SATA-600 ports with integrated RAID 0/1/5/10 are available for reliable data storage and protection.
I/O includes an internal USB dongle, six USB 3.1 Gen1 ports, seven USB 2.0 ports, one RS-232/422/485 port, two GbE LAN ports with Intel Ethernet controller i210-AT, one VGA port, eight-channel programmable digital I/O port, one HD Codec audio, SMBus, and one PS/2 keyboard and mouse.
Trusted Platform Module 2.0 (TPM 2.0) is available to ensure critical information security. The IMB700 can operate at a wide temperature range of 0 to +60 degrees C for use in harsh environments.
Other features include watchdog timer and hardware monitoring functions.
