Embedded motherboards from Tyan, a subsidiary of MiTac Computing Technolgy, have been designed to support industrial controls, surveillance, networking, gaming, and medical instruments.
They are based on the Intel Xeon E-2100 processor, eighth generation Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 series processor and Intel Atom C3000 processor and offer a variety of standard form factors to enable system integrators to specify the latest technology without concerns for compatibility with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components.
Key features include long life cycle, wide operating temperature, compact form factor, and high performance, says Tyan.
The company’s embedded products provide seven-year longevity supply, a wide range operating temperature of 0 to +55 degrees C and optional EMC Class B certification on selected boards. Dual socket boards, the Tempest EX S7100-EX and the Tempest HX S7105 are Intel Xeon Scalable Processor-based boards, while Thunder EX NR38-B3226 is an Intel Atom Processor C3000 series-based server platform with support up to four DDR4 DIMM slots, two bypass GbE pairs, two GbE with PoE, two GbE, two 10GbE and 1 2.5-inch HDD storage bay
