SSD is designed specifically for data centres
Marking Swissbit’s expansion into the data centre market, Swissbit has announced the U.3 SSD N4200.
Its architecture enables it to be optimised for specific application profiles and realistic workloads, said Swissbit. Compared to standard data centre SSDs, it offers two to five times higher constant write speeds, while maintaining low latency and endurance over the course of its lifetime, said the company.
In addition, it is able to measure its workload during operation. Utilising this information, Swissbit can offer an optional in-depth workload analysis and tailored firmware configuration, optimised for the demands of the respective customer application.
The N4200 is available with a storage capacity of 8Tbyte and the company announced that a 16Tbyte version will follow.
The company will display the N4200 at electronica 2022 alongside its entire 3D-TLC memory portfolio. This comprises interfaces and form factors suitable for a variety of applications.
There is the iShield hardware security module which is claimed to enable maximum security for devices in AWS IoT Greengrass environments.
The iShield hardware security module is an industrial-grade USB-A stick that enables the secure storage of cryptographic keys and credentials needed to identify and register IoT devices. The module is qualified for AWS IoT Greengrass and allows system integrators to upgrade or retrofit existing devices, such as gateways or industrial controllers, with an additional layer of security. The CC EAL6+ secure element is embedded in the hardware using chip-on-board technology.
