Surface mount clock oscillator available for R&D in 24 hours
Two series of surface mount clock oscillators have been added to the Euroquartz portfolio with a quick supply turnaround from the company’s UK manufacturing facility. The QuikXO series is suitable for R&D and small to medium batch production applications, says the company. Sample are available in just 24 hours with larger quantities available in three to seven days.
Two package sizes are available, the miniature 3.2 x 2.5 x 1.1mm (model EHTF32) and ultra-miniature 2.0 x 1.6 x 0.8mm (model EHTF21) with frequencies ranging from 1.0 to 200MHz. The devices are factory configurable for quick turnaround and offer frequency stability from ±25ppm to ±100ppm over the industrial temperature range of -40 to +85 degrees C. Supply voltage options are 1.8, 2.5 or 3.3V with tri state (enable/disable) function as standard and RMS jitter of 0.9ps typical.
The QuikXO clock oscillators offer LVCMOS compatible output load capability of 15pF, making them suitable for embedded applications and development engineers or those requiring custom frequencies at short notice.
Additional specifications include rise/fall time from 3.0 to 5.0 nanoseconds and supply current from 30 to 45mA depending on input voltage range. They also have a duty cycle of 50 per cent ± five per cent for frequencies up to 150MHz, ±10 per cent above and start-up time of 4.5 milliseconds typical, 10 milliseconds maximum. Ageing is ± three ppm (parts per million) maximum in the first year at 25 degrees C and ±2ppm per year thereafter.
The EHTF32 and EHTF21 SMD clock oscillators are fully RoHS-compliant and are suitable for reflow soldering at 260 degrees C for 10 seconds.
