Torex and NGK will showcase compact power module at CES
Compact power modules will be exhibited at CES in Las Vegas (7 to 10 January). The modules, can be processed at high temperatures and use Torex Semiconductors’ power management ICs and EnerCera batteries by NGK.
According to Torex, combining the high capacity, low resistance, surface mount EnerCera batteries which can withstand high temperature reflow processes, with low power consumption, small and thin Torex power management ICs (PMICs), realised a very small space from the battery to charging control circuit including the power management ICs. It enables Torex and NGK to provide a reference design optimised for IoT devices and smartcards.
Visitors can see samples at Torex Semiconductor’s stand 43075, in the Wireless Device and Services Area on Level 2 at Sands Expo in Tech West, during CES.
NGK Insulators claims to be the world’s largest insulator manufacturer. It also handles one million Volt class power transmission and transformation insulators. It uses ceramic as the core technology and contributes to solving global environmental problems in the energy, ecology, and electronics business fields.
The company claims to be the first large-capacity storage battery company that succeeded in the practical application of a large-capacity power storage system NAS battery.
