Toshiba Electronics Europe announces new President and CEO
Toshiba Electronics Europe GmbH (“Toshiba”) has announced Peter Lieberwirth as the new President and CEO, effective 1st July. In his new role, he will lead the development and execution of Toshiba’s strategy for its electronic components business in Europe. He takes over from Tomoaki Kumagai, the outgoing President, who has been promoted to a global role, as Corporate Vice President, General Executive, Global Strategy & Business Development, Japan.
Peter Lieberwirth, who joined Toshiba in 1992, has held the Vice President Marketing & Operations Division role since 2018, where his extensive experience across sales and marketing functions has proven invaluable.

Following this announcement, Armin Derpmanns will take over the position of Vice President Marketing & Operations Division after acting as General Manager, Semiconductor Marketing for the past 5 years where he oversaw business development for new markets, new products and solutions. Derpmanns has held several senior roles since starting at Toshiba in 1989.
