Tough miniature trigger switch is vibration resistant
Despite its small size, the C3AW is a miniature trigger switch for heavy duty control applications which delivers exceptional dust, shock and vibration resistance, says Omron Electronic Components Europe.
The switches can be used in industrial and domestic power tools and all types of brushless DC applications including industrial equipment as well as cordless DC power and gardening tools, says Omron. The C3AW is rated at 10mA, 42V DC and achieves dust resistance to IEC IP6x via a sealed rubber cover over the moving parts and an ultrasonic welded connection between the cover cases. It can withstand shocks of up to 3,000m/s2 and vibration of up to 200m/s2 experiencing no more than 100 micro seconds of chattering at the maximum rated shock level.
The switch is 25mm wide, 13.5mm deep and 28.5mm high and is rated for at least 300,000 operations. It can be used at temperatures between -20 and +65 degrees C.
