Trumpower’s 65W AC/DC switching power supply is compact for ITE
To address the need for compact convection-cooled AC/DC switching power supplies to be used in general electronics applications from computers to telecomms and audio / video equipment, Trumpower has released the TC65 series of 65W low profile, open frame AC/DC power supplies. They have a small footprint of 2.0 x 3.0 x 0.97 inch (44.4 x 76.2 x 24.6mm) and an efficiency of 89 per cent minimum. This, said the company, allows the power supplies to be used in a range of ITE (information technology equipment) applications.
All models in the TC65 series have a wide operating input voltage range of 100 to 240V AC and have a no-load power consumption of less than 0.15W. There are seven standard single output voltages of 5.0, 9.0, 12, 15, 19, 24, and 48V DC.
Operating temperatures are between 0 and 70 degrees C, while derating linearly from 100 per cent load at 50 degrees C to 50 per cent load at 70 degrees C. The power supplies are reliable with an MTBF of 300,000 hours minimum at full load, 25 degrees C ambient, calculated per Telecordia SR-332. They also include over-voltage, short circuit, and over-current protections.
The TC65 series is approved to the ITE IEC/UL 62368-1 (3rd Edition) and CSA C22.2 No. 62368-1 standards and complies with immunity standards including EN 55011/EN55022, FCC/VCCI class B (conducted and radiated emissions), EN 61000-3-2, EN 61000-3-3, EN 61000-4-2, EN61000-4-3, EN 61000-4-4, EN 61000-4-5, EN 61000-4-6, EN 61000-4-8, and EN 61000-4-11.
