Würth Elektronik’s WE-TORPFC inductor series has 17 new parts
The WE-TORPFC inductor series available from Würth Elektronik, consists of 17 parts. The toroidal inductors are suitable for continuous-conduction mode (CCM) boost converters and are capable of producing up to several kW of power.
Unlike traditional bobbin-wound, power factor correction (PFC) inductors, the WE-TORPFC series uses flat wire windings, resulting in lower winding losses and better cooling.
The series is designed for elevated temperatures, up to 155 degrees C, and is capable of handling operating voltages up to 1000V DC. The inductors are available in multiple sizes and with inductances ranging from 118 to 720 microH and rated currents up to 48A. The inductors are suitable for a selection of PFC operations including in industrial AC/DC and solar inverters. They also have a robust mounting system, said Würth, that is evaluated through AEC-Q200 reliability testing.
All parts are in stock and free samples available upon request.
