Zotac bases graphics cards on Nvidia Ada Lovelace architecture
The latest addition to Zotac Technology’s graphics card portfolio is the GeForce RTX 4060, based on Nvidia’s Ada Lovelace architecture.
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 family is designed to deliver the performance required for mainstream gamers and creators at 1080P resolution at 100 frames per second with ray tracing and DLSS 3 technology for multi frame generation.
The architecture enables the GeForce RTX 4060 product family to deliver DLSS 3 neural rendering, third-generation ray-tracing technologies at high frame rates. It also has an eighth generation Nvidia encoder (NVENC) with AV1 encoding.
The GeForce RTX 4060 family features compatible compact form factors introduced in the earlier RTX 40 series to improve gaming, airflow and cooling performances, noise mitigation and durability, said Zotac.
It features fast GDDR6 memory and is available with RTX 4060 Ti 16Gbyte, RTX 4060 Ti 8Gbyte or RTX 4060 8Gbyte GPUs.
The 4060 Ti Series has the same aerodynamic design of the Twin Edge compact form factor. For the first time, Zotac is launching a White Edition GPU as part of the initial release line up.
Another variant, the GeForce RTX 4060 8Gbyte Solo has a single-fan configuration and backplate. The Solo will be the smallest Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 40 series GPU to date, said the company.
The compact design of all of the GeForce RTX 4060 GPUs are designed for ease of upgrades. They are 8.9 inches / 225.5mm in length with a slim 2.2-slot design for most PC cases to accommodate as a simple drop-in installation, said Zotac.
The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16 and 8Gbyte cards use IceStorm 2.0 for cooling. They feature a card-length heat sink, composite copper heat pipes and open ventilation to optimise cooling.
The cards are powered by a single eight-pin PCIe connector. A lower minimum recommended power supply of 500W means that there are potentially less
components needed for this powerful upgrade, said Zotac, making it a more viable option to gain more powerful graphics performance.
Firestorm Utility software has a re-designed interface and has options that include clock speed, GPU memory frequencies, voltage, fan speed, fan curve settings, and Spectra RGB lighting effects.
The Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8Gbyte series will be available from 24 May with the 4060 Ti 16Gbyte and 4060 8Gbyte following. Local availability will be dependent on regional supply and delivery.
