12-position flash drive brings portable storage to military personnel
Data can be backed up and secured in harsh environments using ODU’s 12-position flash drive. The portable data storage device enables the user to back-up and secure data in harsh environment and can be used to upload or download data securely to defence systems or other devices that operate independently of a static infrastructure in harsh environment.
The data is protected from external access via standard devices by the special ODU interface. The flash drive can be used on mounted and dismounted PCs, handhelds and mobile devices, unmanned systems, military, agriculture and other devices in harsh environments.
The flash drive has a USB 3.2 Gen1x1 port and is protected to IP68/69K in mated condition. The rugged design uses pseudo single level cell (PSLC) technology, robust mechanical and optical coding and operates at a temperature range of -40 to +85 degrees C.
According to ODU it provides more write and read cycles than common MLC flash drives, high durability and a reduced susceptibility to data errors.
