13W thermal gap filler pad is available in five thicknesses, says Fujipoly

The newest thermal gap filler announced by Fujipoly is the high performance Sarcon GR130A. The highly conformable, gel-like sheets exhibit a thermal resistance as low as 0.02°C•in2/W at 43.5 PSI with a thermal conductivity of 13 W/m°K.

Sarcon GR130A is available in five thicknesses (0.3, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0mm) up to a maximum dimension of 300 x 200mm. It can be die-cut to fit almost any application shape. This Fujipoly thermal interface material is suitable for environments with operating temperatures ranging from -40 to +150 degrees C.

When placed between high-power, heat generating components and a nearby heat sink, the silicone-based Sarcon GR130A material completely fills air gaps between uneven components, board protrusions and recessed areas. This maximises heat transfer and dissipation to improve overall performance, said Fujipoly.

Fujipoly America is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fuji Polymer Industries of Japan. An ISO9001:2015 registered company, Fujipoly America specialises in the fabrication of silicone rubber technology. It is a leader in the areas of Zebra elastomeric connectors, Sarcon thermal interface materials, fusible tapes and custom silicone rubber extrusions.

Fuji Polymer Industries has eight divisions worldwide, located in North America, Europe and Asia and an international network of distributors and representatives. The company’s North American operations are based in Carteret, New Jersey.
