200W DC/DC converter guarantees minimum holdup for rail
Components Bureau has announced the HFC200-W/O 200W DC/DC converter which offers a wide input voltage range of 14.4 to 154V with 200W output. The HFC200-W/O is designed for international rolling stock rail and battery technology applications, confirms Components Bureau.
The company says that a distinguishing feature of the HFC200-W/O is a built-in integrated circuit (IC) which guarantees holdup for a minimum of 10ms at full load. The HFC200-W offers on board power supply voltages from (24 to 110V) including the tolerance range of ± 40 per cent.
The single output DC/DC converter is suitable for chassis mounting with an open frame option. The PCB material was carefully selected, and fire tested in accordance with EN45545-2 R25 and HL 3.
The HFC200 -W runs without derating within the temperature range of -40 to +85 degrees C. The option of 12 or 24V output is available for these lightweight, conformal coated, plug and play solutions. The insulation strength is 2.2kV between I/O.
The DC/DC converter is approved to EN 50155 and EN 50121-3-2, safety to EN 62368-1 and offering efficiency up to 91 per cent. The EN 50121-3-2 standard is met without adding additional components, confirms Component Bureau.
Other key product features include over-current, over-voltage and over-temperature protection, and short-circuit protection.
Established in 1985, Components Bureau was acquired by Display Technology, the UK subsidiary of Fortec Elektronik in 2018.
Components Bureau can offer AC/DC power supplies and DC/DC converters from leading brands. It is a dedicated specialist of power related components and converters which holds stock at its central Frankfurt hub and UK headquarters.
