90W AC/DCs are cost-efficient, says Recom
The RACM90-K AC/DC series is the 90W output version that has been added to Recom’s RACM series of AC/DC supplies.
The power supplies have a wide input range of 85 to 264V AC, with tightly regulated single outputs including 12V, 15V, 24V, 36V and 48V DC. Operating temperature range is from -40 to +90°C with derating.
Safety certifications include 2x MOPP / 250V AC to IEC / EN / ANSI / AAMI ES 60601-1, B and BF-compliant with dual input fusing for medical applications. They also meet standards for reinforced isolation for industrial, test and measurement, ITE and household use, all to 4000m altitude. The parts are classified as Limited Power Source (LPS) and are suitable for installation in surge Class 3 and over-voltage category OVC III environments.
Additionally, EN 55032 / 35 Class B emissions limits are met by a large margin, says Recom. Efficiency is high and is maintained down to light loads, complying with ErP requirements. In addition, no-load consumption is less than 200mW at 230V AC.
The RACM90-K series is available as an open card in the industry-standard 2.0 x 4.0 format or with an optional metallic enclosure.
According to Michael Schrutka, MSc, AC/DC product manager at Recom, the RACM90-K series is one of the most versatile on the market, able to be used in demanding medical environments to the global household market, “with parts offered at a very attractive price point”.
