OKW introduces smaller Evotec designer instrument enclosures
Three plan sizes are now offered by OKW for its Evotec plastic enclosures. The desktop plastic enclosures are now available in an additional, smaller 150 size.
Evotec is designed for tough working environments. Applications include measurement and control engineering, IT, medical, laboratory and environmental technology. The Evotec enclosure can also be wall-mounted for access control.
The robust Evotec enclosures have ergonomic soft contours that make them comfortable to use, explains OKW. The Evotec enclosures are moulded from ASA+PC-FR (UL 94 V-0) for enhanced UV stability and can be specified with optional IP 65 protection.
There are two versions available. Version I has a flat top with a large operating area for switches, push buttons and touch displays. Version II features a smooth sloping top inclined at 12 degree for desktop applications (it can be specified with or without a recess to accommodate a membrane keypad or product label). The new 150 size is available only as Version I with the flat top.
All the enclosures have PCB screw pillars in the top and base. Self-adhesive rubber feet ensure stable positioning on flat surfaces. Torx assembly screws prevent tampering – making the enclosures perfect for medical electronics.
All three plan sizes (i.e. the new 150 x 93mm and the existing 200 x 124 and 250 x 155mm sizes) are available in one standard colour, off white (RAL 9002). Accessories include an IP 65 seal, a wall mounting kit and self-tapping screws for installing PCBs.
OKW can supply Evotec fully customised on request. Services include custom colours, EMC shielding, CNC machining, lacquering, water transfer, tampo or digital printing of legends and logos, installation and assembly of accessories, display windows, membrane keyboards, touchscreens and plastic and aluminium panels.
