JPR Electronics stocks Arduino-compatible Windows 10 SBC from LattaPanda
Specialist distributor JPR Electronics can now supply the LattePanda Windows 10 single board computer (SBC) from stock. The LattePanda SBC includes everything a regular PC has and can do anything that a regular PC does, explains JPR Electronics. It is compatible with almost every device and gadget imaginable, proclaims the company, citing printers, joysticks, cameras “and more”, adding “any peripherals that work on a conventional PC will work on a LattePanda”.
The LattePanda SBC comes pre-installed with a full, pre-activated version of Windows 10, allowing the installation of powerful tools including as Visual Studio, NodeJS, Java and Processing. Using existing APIs, system designers can develop bespoke software and hardware projects on a LattePanda in the same was as can be done on a normal PC using major software suites including C#, Javascript and Ruby.
The LattePanda also includes an integrated Arduino-compatible co-processor, which allows it to control and sense the physical world. This opens up application areas to Windows and IoT developers, education and home computer users, interactive systems designers, robotics developers and Makers.
The LattePanda is different from the Raspberry Pi and other development boards as it features a complete Windows 10 IOS system. Abundant software resources and a mature Windows ecosystem are available to designers ensuring a LattePanda adds accessibility and power to any system design, says JPR Electronics.
LattePanda elevates SBCs, JPR Electronics believes, describing it as turbocharged with an Intel Quad Core 1.8GHz processor, 2.0 to 4.0Gbyte RAM and 32 to 64Gbyte on-board flash memory, LattePanda can carry out image recognition and real-time CNC control, for example.
LattePanda has one USB 3.0, two USB 2.0 ports, integrated WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 and an Arduino co-processor for compatibility with a wide variety of peripheral devices.
Key features include Intel Cherry Trail Z8350 quad core 1.8GHz processor, pre-installed full edition of Windows 10 Operating System, 2Gbyte DDR3L RAM,
32Gbyte storage capability, Intel HD graphics, 12 EUs operating at 200 to 500MHz, single-channel memory GPU, one USB3.0 port and two USB 2.0 ports, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0, built-in Arduino co-processor, the ATmega32u4.
Connectivity and HMI options include video output, HDMI and MIPI-DSI, on-board touch panel overlay connector, supports 100Mbit per second Ethernet, general purpose input/output (GPIO) (six GPIOs from Cherry Trail processor and 20 GPIOs from Arduino Leonardo processor), six plug-and-play gravity sensor connectors
Power requirements are 5V/2A and PC dimensions are 88 x 70mm.
