Miniature high-temperature oscillators are tailored for drilling applications
Tailored for the oil industry where down-hole drilling or data logging, may be required, as well as for high- temperature avionics, the QTCH series of miniature crystal oscillators are available from Q-Tech.
They have a wide operating temperature range of -55 to +200 degrees C and are offered in small, low-profile, surface-mount package sizes. AS well as being suitable for down-hole drilling they can be used in varied high-temperature, high shock or vibration applications.
The QTCH series of miniature surface-mount (SMD) crystal oscillators support frequencies between 1.0 and 48MHz and are capable of operating over a wide supply voltage range from 1.8 to 5.0V DC. Additionally, they exhibit very low power consumption of less than 3mA, reports Q-Tech. There is a choice of three low-profile ceramic packages (2.5 x 3.2mm, 3.2 x 5.0mm and 5.0 x 7.0mm) all hermetically sealed with gold plated contacts or hot solder dipped.
The oscillators are ECCN: EAR99 classified, lead-free and RoHS-compliant. Military screening per MIL-PRF-55310 is also available.
The oscillators are available now with delivery times of around eight weeks, without the optional MIL-PRF screening. Many standard frequencies are in stock.
Q-Tech was founded in 1972 to provide crystal clock oscillators and frequency control solutions for companies with demanding applications. It manufactures qualified products to MIL-PRF-55310 as well as high reliability standards such as Aerospace Corporation TOR (GPS III) and NASA GSFC specifications. Q-Tech services the military, aerospace, down-hole and deep space industries and is certified to the AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems. The company has sales capabilities throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.
