Six models make up railway converters from Micropower Direct
Packaged in a compact 1.0 x 2.0 inch (25 x 50mm) case, the MR4011SRU series is made up of single output 40W DC/DC converters. The converters by Micropower Direct are specifically designed to provide the wide input range, robust performance, rugged packaging and high reliability required for railway and transit applications.
The six standard models operate from a wide input range of 40 to 160V DC (110V DC nominal) and provide tightly regulated single outputs of 3.3, 5.0, 12, 15, 24 or 48V DC. Standard features include line/load regulation less than one per cent, I/O isolation of 3,000V DC, a remote control input and efficiency up to 91 per cent.
Protection against output short circuit faults and output over current faults is included. All models comply with industry standards including EN 62368, EN 50155 and EN 55032. The mean time between failure (MTBF), per MIL HDBK 217F, is greater than 500khours.
The MR4011SRU family is packaged in a compact metal case. All models are also available in a case with an integrated heatsink. The pin-out is industry standard. Operation is specified for the wide industrial temperature range of -40 to +85 degrees C.
The compact packaging, wide input range and high I/O isolation make the MR4011SRU series suitable for a wide range of industrial and railway and rolling stock applications.
All MicroPower Direct products are designed to provide long, reliable field life, with attention to selection, derating and layout of all circuit components as well as extensive reliability screening on all modules as a routine part of our production process.
