The new Schurter UST 1206 chip fuses now available from Rutronik

The new UST 1206 chip fuses from Schurter are now available as a complement to the Rutronik portfolio. The new variation with an extended power range can withstand rated currents of up to 35 A at a rated voltage of 32 VAC or 63 VDC and complies with the UL 248-14 standard for long-term reliability. The fuses impress with extremely precise tripping times and very low power losses and tolerate operating temperatures from -55 °C to +90 °C. The components are resistant to vibrations and pulse loads, have cURus approval, are halogen-free and RoHS-compliant. They are ideal for use in applications with high current requirements at low voltages, such as in motors or power converters.

Schurter has expanded its UST 1206 series of chip fuses to include more powerful versions: The UST 1206, previously available with rated currents from 50 mA to 25 A, is now also available with a rated current of 35 A at rated voltages of 32 VAC or 63 VDC. This makes it even more powerful and particularly compact. The surface-mountable fuses with slow-blow characteristics have a high integral melting current I²t for even better tolerance of inrush currents and can withstand temperatures from -55 °C to +90 °C. They are also equipped with the patented SMD thermal fuse to prevent thermal runaway.

The fuses meet the requirements of the UL 248-14 standard for long-term reliability and are particularly suitable for use in secondary overcurrent protection.
