IBASE announces edge computer for space-constrained deployments
IBASE Technology has announced the ASB100-PI800, a palm-sized fanless edge computing system designed for space-constrained and low-power industrial IoT applications. Powered by the Intel Atom x7433RE processor and built on the IBASE PI800 PICO-ITX board, the ASB100-PI800 delivers computing performance with energy efficiency.
Engineered for industrial-grade reliability, the system features a fanless design for silent, maintenance-free operation and supports versatile expansion through dual M.2 slots for storage, wireless connectivity, and IoT integration. This flexibility allows system integrators to tailor the platform for a wide range of edge applications. Its ultra-compact form factor, measuring just 133 × 102.2 × 51.5 mm, enables flexible deployment in space-limited environments such as industrial control cabinets, smart kiosks, and distributed edge nodes.
With its compact footprint and low power consumption, the ASB100-PI800 is optimised for real-time data processing at the edge. It is well suited for applications including smart factory automation, intelligent retail systems, and distributed IIoT deployments. Combining performance, reliability, and scalability, the system addresses the growing demand for decentralised and efficient edge computing architectures.
