AC/DC power supply has PFC for variety of industries
MicroPower Direct has developed the MPU-240S series of compact, power factor corrected (PFC) AC/DC power supplies to provide a robust performance, high power density, safety approvals and compact size in a variety of industries.
The series comprises eight standard models which operate from universal inputs of 90 to 264V AC, providing tightly regulated single outputs, says MicroPower Direct. Outputs are factory set to 5.0, 12, 15, 24, 28, 32, 38 or 48V DC. Standard features include EN 55032 class B emissions, power factor correction (PFC), 4,000V AC I/O isolation (5,656V DC), and 20 milliseconds hold-up time (with cover).
All models are protected for over-load, over-voltage and short circuit faults. The mean time between failure (MTBF) is greater than 50,000 hours (per MIL HDBK 217F). All models are approved to UL 60950, notes MicroPower Direct.
The MPU-240S family is packaged in a compact 6.0 x 4.18 x 1.38-inch U-chassis. Three I/O connector types are available for all models, namely, terminal blocks, Molex or clamp blocks. This design is also available with a ‘finger-safe’ cover.
Each model is specified for operation over the temperature range of 0 to +70 degrees C (ambient).
