Adapters save time and space in DIN rail plastic enclosure mounting
Adapters from OKW can be used to mount a wide range of enclosures on DIN rails. The company has launched two adapters that enable any small plastic enclosure to be mounted on a DIN rail, while also saving space and speeding up installation, claims the company.
The adapters can be used for a range of electronics applications including automation, industry 4.0 or smart factory, building and safety technology, heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), automatic timers, sensors, relays and lighting control, sub-rack interfaces, electronics modules, amplifiers and transformers.
The B6811751 DIN rail adapter is designed to fit TH35, TH15 and G32 DIN rails. It can be screwed to the back of an enclosure, with a wall thickness 3.0mm, using the two screws which are supplied with the adapter. The assembly is then located on the rail. The adapter is moulded from PA 66 (UL 94 V-0) in black (RAL 9005) as standard.
The second adapter is the B1300017, available in off-white or B1300019 (in black). This model fits TH35 and G32 rails. It was designed for OKW’s IP 66 Robust-Box and Toptec universal plastic enclosures but can be fitted to other OKW housings, including the Evotec designer table-top enclosures (pictured).
The fastening element is supplied with two screws requiring boreholes of 3.0mm diameter. It is moulded from PA 6 in off-white and black as standard.
OKW offers a range of DIN rail enclosure accessories and options, including the previously introduced B6811542 which enables 18 DIN rail enclosures from the company’s Railtec C range to be fitted to TH35, G32 and TH15 rails.
OKW also offers customisation services for plastic enclosures including CNC machining, custom colours and finishes (lacquering), digital, screen or tampo printing of legends and logos, photo quality decor foils, EMC shielding, installation and assembly.
