Additional bullet length means more board design options, says Amphenol RF
An additional bullet length has been added to the micro miniature SMPM connector range by Amphenol RF. It provides more design options for board-to-board and blindmate applications, said the company.
The latest additional bullet adapter length allows for increased PCB spacing options. The SMPM micro miniature interface series provides versatile connectivity for board-to-board and cable-to-board designs operating up to 40GHz. The new bullet adapter allows for a minimum PCB spacing of 9.75mm and is suitable for IoT, military and test and measurement applications.
SMPM bullet adapters are machined from beryllium copper with gold plating for high-frequency electrical performance. When used in conjunction with SMPM PCB connectors, this three-piece design is suited to blindmate situations. The series is available in straight and right-angle configurations. Cable is optimised to meet the frequency limits of high-frequency cables and PCB options with surface mount, through-hole leg or edge mount terminations.
This series is designed for a wide range of precision and miniaturised designs including antennas, handheld radios, military communication systems and instrumentation and measurement equipment.
