Advantech’s new embedded lineups feature the latest Intel Atom processor x7000RE series

Advantech has announced its new lineups powered by the latest Intel Atom Processor x7000RE Series. These products offer power-efficient performance and scalability from two to eight cores. This lineup includes single-board computers (SBCs), computer-on-modules (COMs), and motherboards, specifically designed for rugged environments, they excel in reliability across extreme temperatures from -40 to 85°C.

The latest Intel Atom Processor x7000RE Series, built on 7nm technology, delivers versatile computing power with up to 8 cores, meeting diverse edge computing demands. Featuring an integrated GPU, you can upgrade to Gen 12 UHD graphics, supporting up to 32 EUs with INT8 for both CPUs and GPUs, providing up to 5.15x faster graphics performance and up to 9.83x higher performance in image classification.

Tailored for industrial environments, the Intel Atom x7000RE series builds upon the foundation of the previous Intel x7000E Series. It introduces real-time technologies such as Intel Time Coordinated Computing (TCC) and Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) to optimise support for real-time applications like industrial automation. Moreover, as the first Intel Atom Processor to integrate DDR5 memory, it delivers faster speeds of up to 4800 MT/s, expanded bandwidth, and reduced latency. This is further fortified by in-band error correction code (IBECC) for enhanced memory reliability and error protection during operation.

Advantech provides a variety of products equipped with the latest Intel Atom Processor x7000RE Series. These offerings include single-board computers, computer-on-modules, and motherboards. Tailored for harsh environments, they excel in operation across a broad temperature range from -40 to 85°C. These industrial-grade solutions are designed to ensure uninterrupted performance even in the face of extreme temperatures, vibration, and shock.

The MIO-5354 is a compact 3.5″ SBC with reliable out-of-band remote control management, making it ideal for EV charging stations, passenger information systems, and information kiosks. For more economical solutions, the SOM-2533R SMARC module provides dual 2.5G LAN and an integrated converter with dual CAN bus, ideal for automation and medical applications. The SOM-7533R COMe Type 10 module supports 16GB of on-board LPDDR5 memory and operates across a wide input voltage range (4.75V to 20V), making it well-suited for military applications. Designed with abundant and versatile I/O, the SOM-6833R COMe compact module facilitates easy migration in factory automation and frequency spectrum analysis. Lastly, the low-profile and power-efficient AIMB-219 THIN Mini ITX offers stable, quiet performance in extreme environments, making it exceptional for outdoor kiosks, signage, and Human Machine Interface (HMI) applications.
