AEG Power extends Protect 1 UPS with phase configuration model
The enhanced generation of AEG Power Solutions’ Protect 1 transformer-less UPS series, Protect 1LCD, has been introduced for all types of critical and demanding applications.
The 10 to 20kVA transformer-less UPS series has flexible phase configuration. The UPS is settable at 3/3, 3/1 or 1/1 I/O phases with no additional device. Up to three units can be connected in parallel, which offers further scalability and additional redundancy.
The flexible, Protect 1 LCD combines high efficiency values at a compact footprint, says the company. The system is a double conversion UPS (VFI SS 111), with IGBT technology which features low input THDi (total harmonic distortion) with almost unity input power factor, says AEG. The system AC/AC efficiency is up to 96 per cent which rises to 98 per cent when operating in Eco Mode.
The integrated battery provides four to seven minutes of autonomy and up to six external battery packs can be connected in parallel. The high charging current of up to 13A decreases the recharging period even for long autonomy times, AEG adds.
Designed for small and medium-sized critical applications, the Protect 1 LCD can be used in a range of applications from IT and manufacturing to retail and transportation. They operate at up to 40 degrees C without derating and can tolerate up to 50 degrees C (with power derating).
There is a 4.3-inch colour touchscreen, multi-lingual display with status LEDs and a range of connectivity options for remote management.
The Protect 1 LCD supports many types of operational conditions (voltage, altitude, temperature) and is available now.
AEG Power Solutions has wide portfolio of power supply systems and services: AC and DC UPS, battery chargers, rectifier systems, service and maintenance on 24/7 basis, as well as fully customised UPS systems to customer specifications.
