AIR-020 compact computer delivers AI inference
Compact edge AI systems powered by the Nvidia Jetson family make up the AIR-020 series by Advantech. The computers have a small footprint of just 139 x 110 x 44.5mm (5.47 x 4.33 x 1.75-inch) yet delivers powerful AI inferencing capabilities using Nvidia Jetson Nano, TX2 NX, and Xavier NX SoM, says the company. The series can be used for edge AI applications such as traffic monitoring, defect inspection, automated guided vehicle (AGV) or autonomous mobile robot (AMR), people counting and medical imaging.
The AIRE-020X is powered by the Nvidia Xavier NX SoM, the AIR-020T is powered by the Jetson TX2 NX, and the AIR-020N is powered by the Jetson Nano.
AIR-020X supports up to 21T operations per second and 1058 frames per second for high resolution imaging processes. AIR-020T and AIR-020N support 1.33 / 0.5T floating operations per second and up to 109 / 48 frames per second. All three models support a wide input range of 12 to 24V DC and have an operating temperature range of -10 to +55 degrees C. They also offer vibration and humidity resistance.
The AIR-020 series is equipped with extensive I/O ports including two USB 3.2 Type A, USB 3.2 Type C, one or two GbE, one or two RS-232/422/485, 8-bit digital I/O, and CANBus for data acquisition and communication.
The AI boxes are pre-installed with 4.0 / 8.0Gbyte LPDDR4 and 16Gbyte eMMC 5.1. All models in the AIR-020 series provide 128Gbyte of M.2 storage as the data storage default setting for AI usage.
For data security, AIR-020 adopts TPM 2.0.
The AIR-020 series bundles with Ubuntu 18.04 LTS OS environment, Advantech’s Edge AI Suite and JetPack SDK 4.5.1.
