Alternative RF connectors include IPEX connectors to save space
RF connectors to replace those from manufacturers including Amphenol, Cinch Connectivity, Hirose, Johnson, Molex, Radiall and TE Connectivity are available from BEC Distribution.
The portfolio includes a family of IPEX connectors. These miniature surface mount coaxial connectors are used in applications that have limited board space. The connectors are standard components used in a range of wireless devices including smartphones, tablets, notebooks and automotive systems, advised BEC Distribution.
The IPEX connectors are also deployed in the IoT where they offer robust, reliable and cost-effective alternatives to the major manufacturers, who typically have 16 week delivery times, increasing to 16 to 30 weeks with allocation issues, according to the company.
The RF connectors are part of the BEC Select range of alternative passives, offering lead times from just five to seven weeks (excluding public holidays).
BEC is also a franchised distributor of high current power inductors, power inductors, chip inductors, common mode choke, line filter, transformers, resistors, terminal blocks, RJ45 connectors and LAN magnetics.
BEC Distribution has a wide range of franchised distribution agreements in place and offers quality alternatives to major brands for what the company believes covers 95 per cent of all passive components including TOKO / Murata, Sumida, TDK, Coilcraft, Cooper, Molex, Bourns, Tyco, Vishay, Wurth and Panasonic.
