Amphenol offers 2M micro miniature military connector in Europe
Developed for military and aerospace applications such as armoured vehicles, data acquisition equipment, aeroplanes, helicopters, avionic calculators, missiles and drones, the 2M micro miniature military connector series is now available in Europe from Amphenol Socapex.
The connector is designed for mil-aero applications that require small, fast and strong connectors for which electrical performance and miniaturisation are essential.
The 2M micro miniature connector series product line is designed for interconnect applications requiring high performance and reduced size and weight. It is a smaller, high density, lightweight connector, which according to Amphenol “far exceeds the competition in quality and performance levels”. The 2M series is designed and tested to mil-spec standards, comparable to MIL-DTL-38999. It is intermateable with Glenair’s Mighty Mouse.
The micro connectors are available in aluminum, and are approximately half the size and weight of standard military connectors, claims Amphenol. They feature nine arrangements and three plating options (olive drab cadmium, black zinc nickel and electroless nickel). Amphenol Socapex will also provide the most common configuration including plugs, jam nut and square flange receptacles, both with integrated backshells or receptacles for soldering version onto a PCB and a stand-off version. Corresponding accessories are also available as caps, shrink boots or tools.
