Angled locking cable meets IEC C14
Locking cables that can be used for any IEC C14 application have been released by Schaffner.
The cables have been added to Schaffner’s IL13 family and are claimed to set a benchmark in space-constraint locking situations.
The angled construction allows the connector to be used with devices that are located next to a wall or table top applications.
There are four orientations for the cable, for use with any kind of assembly situation of the IEC inlet where it is connected (top, down, left and right). In addition to the moulded cable-connector combinations, a rewireable connector is also available, for the development of cabling, according to customer needs. There are two versions of the rewireable connector, a vertical and horizontal option.
All connector types are usable with any standard IEC C14 inlet, locking without any additional mechanics. The connector has a locking connection and 200N typical pull- out force for a reliable connection at all times, assures Schaffner, extending to use with appliances that are vulnerable to vibrations.
The cords and connectors have all the required safety approvals (UL CSA, PSE, Kema Keur, PSE and SAA) and are compatible with the RoHS II (2015/863) directive. They also offer low smoke zero halogen (LSZH).
