Anglia Components cuts the time for a volume quote to under two minutes
Volume quotes can be generated in under two minutes, using the BOM+ tool, accessed via Anglia Components’ AngliaLive website.
Customers can upload a bill of materials (BoM) and receive a volume quote using the feature introduced for Anglia Live account holders.
“BOM+ . . . offers more flexibility and information far quicker than any similar tool in the industry,” said Steve Rawlins, CEO, Anglia. It takes into account the customer’s own negotiated prices for a fast and accurate value. It is also designed to be easy to use, accepting most popular formats so that the customer does not have to adapt to the website.
“Customers can now get an instant quote from Anglia that fully reflects the volume that they are sourcing and any discount structure or negotiated pricing they have in place with us,” continued Rawlins.
“We work the way the customer wants: BOM+ accepts most popular file formats using the customer’s preferred layout. In short, we’ve cut out the fuss in getting a bill of materials fully costed.”
Anglia BOM+ works with Excel and other popular file formats, and accepts data as the customer has entered it, providing an immediate volume quote. Anglia claims it can typically fulfil 90 per cent of any BOM.
The company says the tool is a worldwide first, featuring cross referencing to manufacturer and industry recognised part numbers for ease of use.
BOM+ sophistication extends to pricing up the quantities specified at the customer’s contract price or the appropriate price break, whichever is more economical. It will also flag up opportunities to reduce the unit price by increasing the order quantity on specified line items.
