Anritsu announces five software options for 5G

Five 5G measurement software options have been announced by Anritsu for its MS2850A signal analyser. The five software options are compliant with the 3GPP 5G standards (5G NR) and used for measuring the RF Tx characteristics of next-generation 5G basestations and mobile terminals.

The options are the 5G Standard Measurement Software (basic license), the MX285051A, an NR TDD sub-6.0GHz downlink, the MX285051A-011, an NR TDD sub-6.0GHz uplink, the MX285051A-061, an NR TDD millimetre wavebands (mmWave) downlink, the MX285051A-021 and an NR TDD mmWave uplink, the MX285051A-071.

The modules can be combined with the Anritsu MS2850A signal analyser by telecomms operators looking for early deployment of commercial 5G services. They provide, says Anritsu, a cost effect solution for fast and stable signal-analysis measurements, such as Tx power, frequency error, EVM, at frequencies below 6.0GHz and in the mmWave wavebands such as 28 and 39GHz bands.

The MS2850A has the same or better dynamic range and amplitude/phase flatness as higher-end models, insists Anritsu, but at a better cost-performance point, for both high-precision signal analysis and higher finished product quality at a lower instrument cost.

Anritsu Corporation has been providing communications solutions for more than 120 years. The company’s test and measurement portfolio includes wireless, optical, microwave/RF and digital instruments, operations support systems and solutions that can be used during R&D, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance. Anritsu also provides precision microwave/RF components, optical devices, and high-speed devices for design into communication products and systems. With the addition of OSS monitoring solutions, it has expanded its offering to address existing and next-generation wireline and wireless communication systems and service providers.
