Antenna tuning switch has enhanced bandwidth for 5G
Claimed to deliver best-in-class efficiency and enhanced bandwidth coverage, from 600MHz to 6GHz for LTE Advanced Pro to emerging 5G standards, the Sky5-9269-702LF has been introduced by Skyworks.
The wideband 16-state antenna aperture tuning switch has been added to Skyworks’ Sky5 portfolio. The switch is integrated in its Sky5 Ultra and Sky5 LiTE platforms. Skyworks’ antenna tuning devices use proprietary design and process techniques to help drive antenna performance while meeting stringent linearity demands and size constraints to support fast 5G connectivity.
The SKY59269-702LF is a quad flat no-lead (QFN) single-pole, four-throw (SP4T) switch designed for antenna tuning applications that require very low Ron, Coff and high Vpk. The switch can be used for either series or shunt tuning applications. Depending on the register setting, the antenna port can be connected to one of the four switched RF outputs or to multiple pre-defined outputs simultaneously. The other RF ports are in isolation state to the antenna port.
The part is designed to sustain a peak voltage of 80V (typical) without going to breakdown.
The switching is controlled by an integrated mobile industry processor interface (MIPI), v2.0 decoder.
The SKY59269-702LF is provided in a compact 12-pin, 1.6 x 1.6 x 0.45mm (typical) QFN package for board-level assembly.
