Arrow Electronics signs Semtech to expand EMEA IoT portfolio
Distributor, Arrow Electronics has signed a distribution agreement with semiconductor, IoT systems and cloud connectivity service provider Semtech. The agreement lets Arrow market the Semtech portfolio of LoRa wireless transceivers for IoT end nodes, as well as ICs for sensing, signal integrity, power management, and circuit protection.
In 2023, Semtech acquired Sierra Wireless, already a franchised supplier to Arrow, adding its portfolio of cellular IoT devices to combine with LoRa wireless products to create a new IoT cloud-to-chip systems provider.
The new agreement builds on the synergy between Semtech’s technologies and Arrow’s range of associated products and services to create, connect, and manage IoT devices. In addition to engineering support, Arrow has connected with cellular carriers, cloud providers and installation providers to help customers quickly deploy IoT devices and begin working with the data immediately. The framework helps quickly roll out applications for asset tracking, environmental monitoring, business analytics, healthcare, manufacturing process improvement, and many other uses.
