Audio indicators are not affected by temperature or voltage, says CUI

Magnetic and piezo indicator buzzers for medical, automated home and security applications, introduced by CUI Devices’ Audio Group have tight frequency tolerances of ±100 Hz.

This narrow frequency range means that the audio indicators are stable and not affected by temperature or voltage, while providing more consistent tones and sounds in applications that require greater tone consistency.

The magnetic and piezo buzzers have a built-in driving circuit and sound pressure levels (SPLs) of 80, 85, or 88dB at 100mm and rated frequencies of 2,400, 2,700, or 4,000 Hz. Rated voltages are 3.0, 5.0 or 12V DC. The buzzers are housed in compact packages – diameters are down to 9.6mm and profiles can be as low as 5.0mm. The packages offer through hole mounting.

The audio indicators are also wave solder-compatible and operate over the temperature range of -30 to +70 degrees C.

The magnetic and piezo indicator buzzers are available immediately.

CUI Devices manufactures and distributes electronic components for a broad base of market segments. The company was founded in 1989 and since then has built customer and partner relationships, focusing on making the design engineer’s job easier, with online, technical support and customer service.

In September 2019, CUI Devices announced a partial buy-out of CUI Inc’s operations, purchasing the Interconnect, Audio, Thermal Management, Motion, Sensor, and Switches lines.
