Automotive film capacitors are automotive AEC-qualified
Class X2-rated metallised polypropylene film capacitors in the ECQUA series from Panasonic Industry Europe are designed for automotive use.
The AEC-Q200 qualified ECQUA (class X2-rated) capacitors from Panasonic Industry Europe are based on Panasonic’s original in-house patterned metallisation process with fuse mechanism function. This proprietary technology delivers stable capacitance level over the product lifetime to guarantee a higher reliability of the application, says Panasonic.
This series features an operating temperature range of -40 up to +110 degree C, and a rated voltage of 275V AC extendable to 305V AC for short periods. Nominal capacitance range of 0.1 to 4.7 microF.
The flame-retardant plastic case and non-combustible resin provide accreditation in accordance with UL/CSA and European safety regulation for class X2. All the products are RoHS- and REACH-compliant.
According to Panasonic, the ECQUA series capacitors offer a guaranteed high humidity resistance (THB test: 85 degree C, 85 per cent, 240V AC, 1,000 hours) and high thermal shock resistance (-40 to 85 degrees C, 1,000 cycles).
The capacitors function as interference suppression capacitors, and are suitable for a broad spectrum of applications including I/O filtering for charging stations or the input side of on-board chargers, industrial power supplies, the range of electric vehicle/ plug in hybrid electric vehicle (EV/PHEV) applications and renewable energy infrastructure, adds Panasonic.
Panasonic Industry Europe operates in the living space, mobility, industry, and consumer electronics market. The Panasonic Group now operates 591 subsidiaries and 88 associated companies worldwide.
Panasonic researches, develops, manufactures and supplies key electronic components, devices and modules up to complete solutions across a broad range of industries. The portfolio ranges from electronic and electromechanical components as well as semiconductors and sensors up to thermal management as well as wireless solutions.
