Automotive-grade IHLP inductor operates up to +180 degrees C

AEC-Q200-qualified inductors by Vishay Dale, are low profile, high current inductors in a 67676 case size to save space ‘under the hood’.

The IHLP-6767GZ-8A combines a continuous high operating temperature to +180 degrees C with a low profile of 7.0mm.

The inductors are optimised for energy storage in DC/DC converters up to 2MHz. They also provide attenuation of noise in high current filtering applications up to the self resonant frequency (SRF) of the inductor. The high operating temperature enables the inductors to be used for filtering and DC/DC conversion in engine and transmission control units, diesel injection drivers, and other engine (or ‘under the hood’) applications, in addition to noise suppression for motors, windshield wipers, power mirrors and seats, HID and LED lighting, and heating and ventilation blowers.

The IHLP-6767GZ-8A features high efficiency with typical direct current resistance (DCR) from 0.89 to 52.7mΩ and a wide range of inductance values from 0.47 to 47.0 microH. The device provides rated current to 76.0A and handles high transient current spikes without saturation, adds Vishay.

Packaged in a 100 per cent lead (Pb)-free shielded, composite construction that reduces buzz, the inductors offer high resistance to thermal shock, moisture, and mechanical shock, says Vishay. The IHLP-6767GZ-8A is RoHS-compliant and halogen-free.
